Radicalised youth, terror plots and online preachers - all common enough in the international news … but what happens when they come closer to home? Once again David Hidalgo has to make a decision. Can he leave it all to someone else or does he need to get involved and help a friend?

When downstairs neighbour, Ali, finds out his boys are missing and planning a terror attack in Spain he pleads with David: “I have to go and find my boys. I have to stop this. But I know nothing about the country or the language. David - you are my friend. Will you come with me and help me?”

Unforeseen events soon begin to unfold. A terror plot, honour attacks, threats and intimidation, online puzzles and behind it all a criminal enterprise hiding in the shadows. David joins forces with his peace-loving neighbours to save lives, stop the carnage and find out who’s behind it all.

Les Cowan once again works his words well and … the pace of the story soon picks up and you find that it is a very hard story to break away from.

One Man in the Middle blog

“In David Hidalgo, Les Cowan has a unique take on the crime busting religious protagonist..” Gordon Brown, author of Darkest Thoughts

“Drawing Hidalgo out once again from his cosy life ministering to a flock and into a life-or-death situation Cowan anchors this warm but suspenseful tale in a sense of family and belonging and emphasises the importance of understanding other cultures.”
